Abilux – Associacao Brasileira da Inudstria de Iluminacao
The Brazilian Illumination Industry is a highly comprehensive and competitive industry. Aware, follows closely what is happening in the world market. It develops and rapidly incorporates new technologies into its products. It works so that the country can have its own differentiated design, that is easily recognized by its characteristics and quality.
To defend its interests, to work with greater efficiency and productivity of the enterprises in the sector was created in October of 1985; Abilux – the Brazilian Association of the Lighting Industry, a non-profit organization.
With headquarters in São Paulo, Abilux is led by a Board of Directors elected by its associates with support of the Fiscal Council and a board of Directors:

LIGHTING INDUSTRY IN BRASIL
The illumination sector in Brazil is complex and has approximately 800 manufacturers. But, it is the Residential and Decorative Lighting sector that is the focus of the greatest effort of companies that correspond to 23% of the market, followed by the Commercial Lighting segment, with 18% and the Industrial Lighting segment with 13%.
The product lines are very diversified. In the Residential and Decorative Lighting segment, the most important are sconces (9%), hanging fixtures (9%), ceiling fixtures (8%), table fixtures (7%), Lamps (7%) and column fixtures (5%).
The sector has a high rate of productivity. Brazilian manufacturers produce around 1,400,000 pieces per year.
