SGM pixel tubes create effects for Ford’s car show

SGM LT-100 led tubes were used in an innovative way on the eye catching Ford Performance stand at the recent Goodwood Festival of Speed held in June.
Ford’s car show designers, Imagination, were tasked with creating an interesting interactive area in front of the blue three-tier stand.
Imagination turned to regular car show lighting company, Static Lighting, to supply the LED tubes for the illuminated rev counter concept.

The LT-100 1-meter pixel tubes were fitted horizontally into the front facade of the stand with the ends hidden which created a semi-transparent pixel window.
Effects were triggered when members of the public swung a huge hammer down onto a pad which in turn created the illumination of the LT-100s; the harder the pad was hit the higher the effect reached.
