SGM LED light for burn Residency

Live from Ibiza, for the fourth consecutive year, burn Residency presents an exciting and eclectic range of DJ events and challenges. The programme lets aspiring new talents find themselves in the world of electronic music while undergoing the burn Residency Bootcamp.

Mentored by high-profile international DJs like Carl Cox, Yousef and Philipp Straub, the young artists are given a chance to start their DJ career. Three will be selected after the bootcamp and awarded with a summer-long residency at the top clubs of Ibiza, while, in the end, one will be appointed Superstar winner and awarded with an investment equivalent of 100,000 euros as a one-year management contract.

To illuminate the 360-degree DJ stage, company Tri-I had delivered the lighting equipment; among this was the P-5 wash light and the G-Spot moving head from SGM. These LED lights proved perfect for the outdoor environment, including the island humidity and saltwater conditions, due to their IP-65 rating and thus being maintenance-free.

The powerful colour output from the SGM LED lights created a vivid ambiance for the DJ area, which brought additional energy into the party zone.

Ibiza has become famous for its association with nightlife and the electronic music that originated on the island, and it incorporates the perfect atmosphere for the concept of burn Residency; sunshine, beach, parties and fun.

Over 5,000 contestants from 90 countries entered the 2015 burn Residency event, from which 18 finalists were selected and flown to Ibiza for the intense two-week bootcamp.
