Musik Verein Vienna illuminated by CLS

With more than 800 concerts a year, the Music Verein in Vienna is one of the leading concert halls in the world. The building has an impressive history and was opened in 1870. The building has no less than seven halls, of wich the main hall alone has a capacity of more than 2.000 people.

It should be clear that a building with such international style and such a rich history, doesn’t make its decisions overnight. After years of extensive testing and many product comparisons, the choice fell on the REVO series from CLS to lighten the facade of the Music Verein. CLS turned out to be the only manufacturer in a position to provide a customer-specific solution. To generate the correct warm white colour (2400K), the REVO fixtures were equipped with 4 warm white and 4 pieces of amber LEDs. With this combination it was possible to generate exactly the right warm white colour. In addition, the REVO fixtures were anodized in a special colour, so the REVO optimally harmonize with the exterior of the building.

In order to minimize the execution of disturbing cable work in and on the facade, implementation of the Modular REVO was chosen, where each fixture features an in / out IP67 connector for easy daisy chaining.

In order to not dazzle pedestrians in the street, a number of fixtures were equipped with so-called snoots. This accessory will be available in October for the entire REVO serie.
