Vistula Group Stores Poland: Higher Level Shopping Experience

The Challenge

This year, the company has decided to launch a new shop concept in several VISTULA stores. New standardization of the stores – “The Men's Fashion Atelier” – is a combination of elegance, style and fashion. The aim of the new project was to create an interior that would be masculine in character, presenting products at their best. In that case, thrilling and surprising lighting may be of great value. It attracts new customers to the store from the outside and enhances their shopping experience inside the store.

The Solution

“Materials used in VISTULA stores have been inspired both by technical – austere – elements and classic – clubbing – elements. It is called integration by contrast. The arrangement of the store is based on the clear space division into zones and rooms. This inspires and attracts the clients, providing them with the feeling of comfort and intimacy while they do the shopping“, says Marcin Rydz, Investment Director at VISTULA GROUP. “New LED solutions from GE Lighting are a very important part of building the atmosphere and presenting our collection. Both our staff and clients have noticed the quality in rendering natural colours after changing the lighting. As a result, shopping is much more comfortable for our clients now”, adds Marcin Rydz.

In W.KRUK showrooms, where the new lighting has also been changed, there is yet another crucial reason for modifications.

“After listening to VISTULA GROUP needs, we suggested 7W LEDs instead of 50W lamps, installed in display cabinets. The previous lighting was likely to cause heating up and subsequent deformities of the counter displays. Thanks to the new lighting solutions, we have not only made the display case more attractive for the eye, but we have also achieved significant reduction of the heat emission inside the cabinets”, explains Aneta Ciereszko, Regional Country Manager Poland at GE Lighting. “We believe that W.KRUK's customers will appreciate these modifications especially now, when looking for Christmas presents for their loved ones”, she sums up.

Results and benefits

The replacement of the current lighting with new energy efficient LED lamps from GE Lighting has also reduced energy consumption by 35% in the stores and hence decreased the operational costs of VISTULA GROUP. LED technology is also much more durable and more eco-friendly than traditional lighting. VISTULA GROUP will not be bothered with replacements or service for at least the next five years.
