TRILUX equips Brugg-Windisch campus with LED luminaires

In the place where cattle used to wait to be auctioned off, nowadays research and education dominate the picture. A monumental new building was constructed here on the grounds of the old market halls in Brugg-Windisch (Switzerland). It provides optimal working conditions for 2700 students and 880 lecturers of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts North-western Switzerland FHNW. That things are very efficient at the Brugg campus is, in a lot of ways, also thanks to the new light by TRILUX.

More than 1700 ultra-modern LED luminaires were installed. Utilised were specialty luminaires of the Belviso type with a luminous flux of 4200 lumen and a connected load of 45 watts.

"In the classrooms, an illuminance of an impressive 500 LUX is achieved with the LED Systems" reports Herbert Probst from TRILUX Sales and Distribution. The energy efficiency of the TRILUX luminaires was ultimately the decisive factor for the awarding of the contract. However, the efficiency calculations were not the only thing with which TRILUX was able to convince the builder/owner.

The powerful LED luminaires of the company headquartered in Spreitenbach also provide a lot of advantages in the long run and make a particularly advantageous impression in terms of the total cost of ownership (TCO).

In this type of cost review, not only are the purchasing costs taken into consideration, but also the costs of utilisation all the way to disposal. This is particularly important in case of high quality products since these often are more important when purchasing them, but ensure cost advantages at the bottom line.

Clever LED light solutions in the education sector improve the visual comfort and increase the ability to concentrate in classrooms, seminar rooms and lecture halls. Combined with an intelligent light management system, they take it easy on the energy costs, unburden the environment through CO2 savings, and provide for optimal visual conditions at any time.
