Restaurant lighting Le Millenaire reims

In Reims, a few steps from the cathedral, the "Le Millénaire" restaurant has been completely redesigned to accommodate guests in a modern and welcoming environment.

"Le Millénaire" is located in the historical city center of Reims, France. The new interior design is the work of architect Giovanni Pace who used wood and champagne colors to make it into one of the most attractive restaurants in town. The main feature of the interior of the restaurant is the cohabitation of an area with double ceiling height and an area where the same amount of space houses two floors.

The architect, Giovanni Pace said: "It was impossible to hide the columns and beams, therefore we have interpreted them as a grid mesh that wraps around the space in a harmonious way, and we have added other lines of light. The concept of "line" was the guiding principle of the whole project: we based our work on lines of light, in the folds of curtains, poles, beams and on the edges of the glass. Additionally, the glass walls accentuate this overlapping of lines. We have created a welcoming atmosphere composed of environmentally friendly materials which is timeless, natural, modern, quiet, cozy and intimate."

Recessed IN30, installed in continuous lines, were chosen for three reasons:

1) Aesthetic: the cage of light created with IN30 contributes to the harmony of space, giving it a nice visual effect.
2) Optimization of space: the bright lines are integrated into the walls and ceiling, maximizing the perception of volume
3) Uniformity:  To provide general lighting without shadows and maximum uniformity. The system is operated with the iGuzzini Master Pro control system
