RECOVER - Artificial sun from XAL

The RECOVER lighting system developed by XAL imitates various characteristics of natural light and supports the healing process of hospital patients by taking the requirements determined by the circadian rhythm of humans into consideration.

XAL recently launched a research project aimed at making similar lighting systems attractive for private residences as well. Together with the Department of Psychology at the University of Graz, batteries of psychological perception tests and medical examinations are being conducted on test subjects at various times of day in order to test different technical solutions and their effects on people. The goal is to develop highly efficient lamps and lighting systems for dynamic lighting that are still as simple, and thus as cost-effective, as possible.
