Excellent work is rewarded. And XAL proved this to impressive effect at this year’s Red Dot Design Award. Two XAL products – TASK Suspended and TASK Floor – were honoured for their outstanding design and efficient lighting technology at the international competition in which the industry’s best square off against one another.
The TASK workspace lamp, which features an ultra-thin look that is sure to catch people’s eye immediately, is perfect for the modern office world: Highly efficient, state-of-the-art LEDs provide an extremely high lumen output of 118 lm/W, thus ensuring concentrated, productive work at any time of day or night. TASK’s special micro-prismatic cover delivers reflection- and glare-free light with values of UGR < 19, making it ideal for long hours of work on computer monitors. The output of the LEDs is also optimised by the 96 per cent reflectivity of the perforated reflector, which distributes the light perfectly both directly and indirectly.

TASK Suspended is also equipped with a constant lumen output (CLO) system, which maintains the lumen output of the lamps at a constant level over their lifespan, thus ensuring optimal conditions in the workplace. This reduces energy consumption even further in the initial years and also increases the lifespan of the LEDs and the lamps. TASK also offers optimal dimming thanks to the clever DALI system.
A perfect lamp for every workspace – a fact that is clear to us and apparently to the jury for the Red Dot Design Award, as well.
