Glowing straightness for large surfaces

For the intelligent and efficient deployment of light in large spaces, such as discounters, supermarkets, libraries and archives, Regiolux extended the SDT LED light run system with a new light technology. The system provides a sophisticated look and was introduced at the Light+Building for the first time. New is the efficient light control via linear lens. In addition, the device support is equipped with a diffuser designed by Busse-Design. Thanks to this device, light runs can be realized in a continuous row without dark-spots and without any problems.

The new design corresponds with compact measurements and a visual lightness, thanks to the metal-free, translucent light control. Since the source of light is also visible from the side, a new, glowing straightness comes into being. The device support is suited for wide- or narrow beam characteristics, for high-bay storage solutions and for a double asymmetrical illumination of shelf aisles, e.g. for an effective presentation of goods.

For lightness and a new sense of space for large surfaces, there is a variant with a synthetic diffuser, which yields an effective indirect-light component of approximately 15% at high levels of efficiency. It is fit for any space where a pleasant lighting atmosphere has to be achieved in the first place. The indirect light illuminates the ceiling, so that the entire space appears to be higher and friendlier. Simultaneously, the variant achieves a low direct glare, thanks to reduced light densities. The continuous appearance is neither disturbed by dark-spots, nor by LED dot depictions. Hence the energy-saving and maintenance-free general illumination of large surfaces can be realized in a new quality.

Both variants, whether with linear lens or synthetic-diffuser, are available at various performance levels. Also dimmable versions for more efficiency thanks to light-control are available. With regard to the light run, Regiolux trusts the new LED generation with the highest efficiency class, generating up to 160 lm/W. With a colour reproduction of Ra > 80 and the light colour 840 the LED yield a high light quality. A special device support, equipped with longer LED modules and extremely powerful, ensures the harmonious appearance as a continuous light run. It is marked with the ENEC-symbol, confirming compliance with the European standards.

The new technology can be combined with the existing SDT LED device mounts, which may be operated with open distribution or with mirrors for narrow-, wide-, extremely narrow beam or with an asymmetrical light distribution. They are also equipped with new, highly efficient LED modules in various Lumen packages and can be extended with sensor technology, for a further increase in terms of efficiency. Variants for increased density requirements, up to protection class IP54, or for fire hazardous operating sites complete the system.
