Deltavation Selects Gooee as Data Store & Analytics Platform

Gooee

Gooee announced a partnership with Deltavation that sees Gooee’s data store and analytics platform being integrated into Deltavation’s LED lamp-based linear, lighting, sensing and control systems.

Deltavation provides the only PoE sensor enabled replacement solution to the more than 60 billion fluorescent lamps in operation today worldwide. Integrated with Gooee’s data services, thousands of companies worldwide will be able to replace outdated fluorescent lighting with the most advanced lighting solutions, enabling footfall monitoring and security services, energy management and cost savings, human engagement (direct interaction with employees & customers) and more.

Deltavation Selects Gooee as Data Store Analytics Platform

Deltavation joined Gooee for its European Launch at LuxLive alongside Dell, Vodafone, Utilitywise, TUV Rheinland, Philips and others.

Deltavation’s patented linear LED lamps combine remarkable lighting performance with smart lighting features such as internal control node, wireless communication, sensor-enabled, color tuning, and direct-to-lamp PoE (Power over Ethernet) connectivity.

Mike May, Founder & CEO at Deltavation, says the company will integrate both its AC and PoE based lamps into the Gooee platform: “We see the powerful synergy that the Gooee ecosystem creates with our replaceable data harvesting lamps, offering a complete solution to the industry and our go-to-market partnerships. It’s a secure platform and one that aligns with our goals of providing cost-effective, future-proof intelligent LED lighting with extensive services, such as equipment location, systems integration, wireless connectivity and people positioning, that both the lighting and property market have been waiting for.”

A single IoT lighting solution for smart buildings, Gooee is the first to bring together lighting control, beacon networking and space analytics. This provides application-specific data for developers, building occupiers, property owners and managers. Scalable and interoperable, the Gooee ecosystem can be used across all sectors to significantly simplify lighting installation, transform human engagement in retail or office environments and reduce energy costs.

Deltavation’s solution is perfectly suited to Gooee’s technology due to it being the only replacement of one of the oldest and most widely used forms of lighting within the retail, education, healthcare, commercial, industrial and horticultural applications.

Neil Salt, co-founder and Managing Director at Gooee, says it’s exciting to have Deltavation as a partner: “Deltavation’s fluorescent replacement linear type lighting is still the single largest form of lighting in use in the world today and Deltavation’s product is an ‘all-in-one’ smart retrofit solution that can accelerate technology adoption at scale,” adding “The partnership is an example of working together to provide companies with an IoT data service, using Lighting-as-a-Host, that can transform our understanding of how we occupy building spaces, whilst delivering cost savings and revenue generating insights.”

Deltavation holds several patents for the innovative features of its linear LED lamps, such as its Delta design for distributing uniform light over 290 degrees of usable lumens, and industry standard Snap-Fit end connectors adapted for either AC or PoE connectivity.

The high intensity and wide beam angle of these lamps permit lower power operation for improved efficiency. Deltavation’s commercial lighting is a paradigm shift, with smart lighting components embedded directly into the lamps to provide an alternative, more cost-effective method of implementing smart lighting technology into a building.
