Aura Light launches a tunable white version of award-winning LED panel

We will be launching a tunable white version of the award-winning LED panel, Aura Lunaria. It allows the user to change the colour temperature of the light from warm white to cool white. This empowers the user to control their environment and change the lighting according to their preferences and needs.

The LED panel was exhibited at the international trade fair Light + Building 2016 in Frankfurt. It is designed to easily replace fluorescent luminaires for standard commercial ceiling grids and provides a uniform luminance. Aura Lunaria was the international winner of the 2015 SEAD Global Efficiency Medal Competition in the category planar luminaires.

– Our LED panel Aura Lunaria was awarded by SEAD as the best in the world and now it is exciting to present the panel in a tunable white version. This enables the user to take control of its own lighting experience. Lighting that is adapted to the purpose or mood can contribute to enhanced well-being according to research on Human Centric Lighting. Together with energy efficiency, quality and durability that have always been the cornerstones of Aura Light. This is a product with multiple benefits, says Martin Malmros, CEO Aura Light International AB.

The LED panel could be used in offices, corridors and public areas and allows the user to change the colour temperature from 2700 to 6000 Kelvin, as well as the intensity. The LED panel is designed to have a constant lumen output across the entire CCT range which facilitates light planning.

Human Centric Lighting is the study of how the lighting affects human beings. It is based on the concept that a person’s well-being is affected by lighting and that it can improve concentration and efficiency. This research forms the basis for the development of tunable white.

Aura Light aims to design personalized lighting solutions that enhance the user experience and the Aura Lunaria tunable white is one of these innovations.
